The Bucks County Area Of Pennsylvania

Bucks County is located in Pennsylvania (PA) and is part of the Delaware Valley area. As of the latest census, Bucks County population was a little over six hundred thousand, making Bucks the fourth most populous county in Pennsylvania. The other three are Philadelphia, Allegheny, and Montgomery counties.

Bucks County is one of the three original counties created by William Penn in November 1682. It’s name is derived from Buckinghamshire in England, where William Penn’s family has lived for generations.

The administrative center and seat of government is Doylestown. Doylestown is a borough of Bucks County with a population was 8,380. It was named for William Doyle, an innkeeper of the Penn’s.
